The Custom Process

How much is it? Once we know your needs, we will send a quote. With custom design, there is a fee in addition to the cost of the paper.
Since we offer multiple printing options, it is fully customizable and adaptable to all budgets. 

Minimum requirement for custom? 100 Invitations. 



step 1- Let's Chat. 

First, fill out the inquiry form on the right and then the process begins!
After we receive your form, we'll begin by hearing your story and understanding your vision- whether that's via phone call, email, a visual inspiration board, or, if you're located in the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area, an in-person meeting. From our initial conversation, we'll be able to present a rough estimate of costs, ideas, and timeline.

To officially begin the custom design process, a 50% deposit is required to book Mango Ink.

step 2- Initial Concept Presentation.

After we have a solid idea on what you're looking for, we'll dive deep into our creative zone, and begin drafting. We will put together a mini mood board to help guide the design process. Timelines vary, but initial concepts are presented generally within 2 to 4 weeks.

step 3- Refining the Vision.

We'll refine the design through up to three rounds of edits, included in custom pricing. We'll work together and achieve that "OHMYGOODNESS I’m in love!"
level of satisfaction. We will send proofs for each part of your wedding invitation suite needed, and you let us know any changes along the way. Once we finalize all the designed pieces, we will talk about cardstock options and envelopes and you can decide what fits your budget best. 

step 4- Design Confirmation.

Once the design is confirmed, we'll send proofs over for design confirmation. This is where we'll finalize every last detail, and then get the project into creation. After the proofs are approved, we will begin production.

step 5- Production.

Printing generally takes anywhere from 7-10 days digitally or from 6-8 weeks for letterpress, with finishing such as hand painting, die-cutting, and edge painting assume extra time. Our wedding letterpress stationery is created in our studio,
on our Chandler and Price 1895 press.

step 6- Finishing Touches.

After production is complete and your wedding invitations are brought to life, we'll carefully pack up your invitations for shipment. We also offer digital calligraphy, or will happily coordinate envelope calligraphy from one of the many talented calligraphers we work with. We're also here to help with postage selection with custom-designed or sourced vintage stamps, as well as invitation assembly. We'll even take care of mailing your invitations for you.

step 7- The Big Day.

We love nothing more than to carry out our couples’ vision through carefully curated and beautifully executed details for the day-of. Whether you'd like custom drink stirrers, cocktail napkins, signage, menus, or programs, we're here to help. For our DIY couples, we'll gladly provide you a file of your designs and / or wedding logos. This service is included in the fully custom design fee, and  available for a small fee for semi-custom or stock designs. For our couples less enthused about DIY-ing day-of items, we're happy to help design and execute everything from the welcome tote bags to the treats they'll take home with them at the end of the night.
