“The last thing I want to do is put on a smile and pretend everything is fine while the world burns. But someone once said it’s better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. So, this is the simple reminder I need. Breathe. Smile. Laugh. Why? There is lots of pain and suffering but there’s also a universe that keeps expanding and might even be a little frisky. (I wanted to put frisky on this card but the girls thought it sounded weird and I agreed even if it does just mean playful and energetic.) I don’t know what kind of dance you need… maybe it’s the cute boy with braces from Jr. High who gets your young pulse grooving in rhythm with that slow jam, maybe it’s that girl you’ve been eyeing who invites you out to sweat it out and tear up the floor with the deep bass, or maybe it’s the wrinkled hand of 60 years of marriage that reaches out and says “This is still our song.” It’s probably a little of all of it. It’s love, it’s energy, it’s relationship… it’s that juice of life. Yes, there is hard, but we could all use a night of dancing sometimes. Go light up that floor!” -Ryan
